The Role

If you're the person who sees an IT problem before anyone else does, figures out what is really causing it, and takes ownership of fixing it properly, this role gives you the space to own the whole environment.

You'll be the primary owner of J4RVIS' internal IT across Australia and the Philippines from identity and devices to security, SaaS, support and continuous improvement. It's an individual contributor role with real autonomy, working across the business and directly supporting everyone from new starters to C-level leaders.

Why This Role Exists

As J4RVIS grows across Australia and the Philippines, our internal technology environment needs someone who can take real ownership of keeping our people secure, connected and productive.

This role is not traditional helpdesk. You'll be the primary point of ownership for internal IT - managing identity, access, devices, security, SaaS applications, IT assets and user support while continuously looking for ways to make the environment better.

You'll operate as an individual contributor with a high level of autonomy. That means we need someone who can troubleshoot independently, make sound decisions, prioritise intelligently and know when something needs to be escalated.

You'll also be trusted with sensitive systems and information and will work directly with senior and C-level stakeholders. Good judgement, discretion and integrity aren't optional.

The goal is simple: keep J4RVIS secure, connected and running smoothly - and make the environment better as we scale.

What You'll Be Doing

• Identity & access management: Own user provisioning and deprovisioning across Microsoft 365, Entra ID and business-critical SaaS platforms including Salesforce, Lucid, Culture Amp and Rippling, ensuring people have the right access at the right time.

• Device & endpoint management: Own our Microsoft Intune environment, including device provisioning, configuration, compliance policies, updates and endpoint standards across the workforce.

• Security operations: Manage Microsoft Defender and day-to-day security controls, monitor our security posture, respond to incidents and proactively identify and address risks.

• IT support: Be the go-to person for internal IT, owning the support lifecycle end-to-end and resolving hardware, software, connectivity and access issues through to root cause.

• Executive & stakeholder support: Provide a high standard of IT support across the business, including working directly with senior and C-level stakeholders where discretion, responsiveness and sound judgement matter.

• Asset & licence management: Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories, monitor utilisation and support informed decisions around renewals, tooling and costs.

• Onboarding & offboarding: Make sure every new starter has the right hardware, accounts, access and systems from Day 1, and that departing employees are securely offboarded.

• IT security & compliance: Maintain the documentation, controls, logs and configurations required to support J4RVIS' security and ISO compliance goals.

• Continuous improvement: Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities across our IT environment, then recommend and implement improvements rather than waiting for someone else to spot them.

What We're Looking For

Must-have:

• 5+ years' experience across IT support, systems administration, IT operations or a similar hands-on IT environment

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender / Defender for Endpoint

• Experience managing endpoints, identity, access and device compliance

• Experience administering multiple SaaS applications

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving capability

• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and make sound technical decisions without constant supervision

• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence supporting non-technical users and senior stakeholders

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability and discretion

• A genuinely proactive, curious and resourceful approach to solving problems

Nice-to-have:

• Experience supporting global or multi-country teams

• Experience working with Australian businesses or professional services/consulting environments

• Exposure to ISO 27001 or other security/compliance frameworks

• Experience with PowerShell or IT automation

• Experience with IT asset and licence management

• Microsoft certifications across Intune, Security or Identity

• Experience improving IT processes, security controls or internal systems

• Experience working in a growing technology business
